Tolani Shobajo, (born 20 October 1993), known professionally as Tolani Baj, is a Nigerian reality television star,[1] actress, content creator, media personality and entrepreneur.[2][3] She was a housemate in Big Brother Naija season 5.[4][5][6][7]

Background and education[edit]

Shobajo is from Ikorodu, Nigeria.[8] She was born on 20 October 1993 in Chicago, Illinois, U.S.[9]

Career[edit]

In December 2018, Tolani relocated back to Nigeria after nine years in Chicago,[10] to pursue her career in the Nigerian entertainment industry.[11] She has worked for Pulse TV, Aristokrat Records,[12] Universal Music Group Nigeria and tooXclusive as a playlists curator during her stay in the US, and also runs a Vlog on Youtube.[13] In 2020, she auditioned and participated in the Big Brother Naija (season 5).[14][15]

Tolani entered the Big Brother Naija house on 19 July 2020 for season 5 of the reality TV show.[16] She was evicted on 30 August 2020 alongside BrightO and Wathoni,[17][18] after spending 42 days on the show.[19] During her stay in the house, she shared a close relationship with Erica, Kiddwaya, and Prince.[20][21]

Personal life[edit]

Tolani Baj is a controversial media personality that sometimes stirs reactions on social media,[22] on different scenarios.[23] Tolani says that there is nothing alluring or intriguing about a man that women desire.[24] She also says that it’s inappropriate for a man to open a door for a woman without letting her through first.[25]

On 13 July 2021, Tolanibaj, and Instagram comedian, Nasty Blaq,[26] sparked a relationship rumor following an Instagram story shared by the comedian.[27]
