Tom Stoughton (born July 9, 2009) is a British child actor, known for his work playing young Sherlock Holmes in British crime drama series Sherlock.[1][2]

Tom Stoughton was born on 9 July 2009 in London, United Kingdom.
Career[edit]
After appearing in several performances at drama school, Tom was asked to audition for popular crime drama Sherlock with Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. Securing a role, Tom waited for production to begin. The production company Hartswood Films were searching for an actor to play Young Sherlock and changed Tom's casting as he looked like young Benedict.[3]

He is an avid supporter of the UK Alzheimer's Society and has run a campaign along with Sherlock fans in America with proceeds to benefit the charity [4]
