Tom Stoughton (born July 9, 2009) is a British child actor, known for his work playing young Sherlock Holmes in British crime drama series Sherlock.[1][2]
Early life
Tom Stoughton was born on July 9, 2009, in London, United Kingdom.
Career
After appearing in several performances at drama school, Tom was asked to audition for the popular crime drama Sherlock with Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. Securing a role, Tom waited for production to begin. The production company Hartswood Films were searching for an actor to play Young Sherlock and cast Tom as he looked like young Benedict.[3]
Works
He is an avid supporter of the UK Alzheimer's Society and has run a campaign along with Sherlock fans in America, with proceeds to benefit the charity. [4]
