Tovan Alldino (born June 15, 1996). Known professionally as Tovan, is an Indonesian R&B, songwriter, dan record producer. His music explores utopia, melancholia dan escapism. In September 2019 he released his single Far Feeling on Spotify. This single made Southeast Asia Spotify Editorial got him on whole New Music Friday playlist. He released his mixtape called COLORS. He released another album named Real blood on August 2022. Tovan has featured with many musicians from Indonesia and United States.

Early Life[edit]

Tovan Alldino was born on June 15, 1996 in Indonesia. His father, Harnoko Wishnu Murti and mother, Ivin Nur Indah both are Javanese. He has an older sister named Shevina Alldila. Raised in district called Karangsambung, he showed an interest in music at an early age and learned to play guitar at the age of 8. He self-taught English by watching YouTube videos and listening to songs from singers such as The Weeknd, Drake, Post Malone, as well as 1980 to 1990 music introduced by his parents.

Career[edit]

2018–2019: Career beginnings[edit]

Tovan started his career in 2018 when he was 22 years old. At first, he produced songs in the bedroom which were later released on digital music platforms. He writes and is an audio engineer for his music.

In September 2018, Tovan, with his best friend Vikto founded an independent record label called TXVXNrcrds which later changed its name to TXVXN. Lust is the first collaboration single for Tovan and Vikto.

September 2018 to December 2019, Tovan released 6 singles and then packaged them in COLORS extended play. After that Tovan returned to his digital audio work station and worked in the fields of record producer, audio mixer, and mastering.

2020–2021: Record Producer, Audio Mixer, and Mastering[edit]

In January 2020, Tovan built a studio for music production and his own record label which later became a place for musicians to come record and release their songs. At first he pursued mixing and mastering for his musical career.

During the process, a well-known record producer from the United States, Joey Sturgis, who has received RIAA Gold certification in producing the single "The Final Episode" by Asking Alexandria from England, contacted him to apply for cooperation in JST.

Tovan did the mixing process through MWTM. On this platform, he learned through international audio mixing experts such as Chris Lord-Alge, Illangelo, Andrew Scheps, and Young Guru with the Waves Audio plug-in software made in Tel Aviv, Israel to get audio results like his idol audio engineer, Serban Ghenea. As for mastering, he initially handed over the process to a mastering engineer from Cambridge, Ozzy before he was finally able to do mastering.

2021–present: The end of COLORS and the born of Real Blood[edit]

After he was able to carry out the music production process properly, he continued his music career by completing 8 COLORS extended play projects totaling 48 songs. In COLORS there are many of musicians who joined from Asia, Europe and North America who act as collaborating artists and beat-maker.

After COLORS officially ended, Tovan's first album, Real Blood, appeared. On this album Tovan tries to explore his music in the Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop and Rap genres. Contains 15 songs, with singles titled "Save The Love" to "Toxicated" as the ending theme which he released in August 2022.
