Andrew Chambers (born December 6, 1989), widely known as Trabass, is a Jamaican, actor, comedian, and dancehall musician.
Early life
Born in Kingston, Jamaica. Trabass grew up in a single-parent household and was raised by his mother. He used his sense of humor to make his family laugh and realized that he had the talent of a comedian at an early age.
Career
Trabass launched his entertainment career in 2009 when he created his Trabass TV channel on YouTube. Several years later, his YouTube channel amassed over one million subscribers. Trabass gained popularity in Jamaica, Canada, and the UK because of his comedic skits and also through several short films. His success carried over in 2016 when he released an EP titled "Trabulation", which debuted at the number eight spot on Billboard's Top Reggae Albums of 2016.
After the release of "Trabulation", his follow-up music efforts fell short of reaching the Billboard charts. In 2020, Trabass decided to partner with a new team to manage his music career. He signed with MVB Records, an independent New York record label. Trabass's first release through MVB Records was "Don't Tell Nobody", released on October 16, 2020, featuring Linclon 3Dot and produced by Frostyee The Producer.
