traces of the ceiling is a 2025 studio album by Japanese musician Takako Minekawa.
The album is intended to follow the format of a diary; following Minekawa's daily experiences when the album was recorded between October and December 2018 - with the exception of the title track, "traces of the ceiling", which was recorded in August 2020.[1] There is a focus on everyday, mundane experiences, for example, the track "inokashirasen no" refers to a specific train.[2]
Traces of the ceiling was recorded in a Los Angelos studio and features use of a 'glass tube', Yamaha DX100 and korg micro sampler.[1]
