Tribal Students Union (in Bengali উপজাতি ছাত্র ইউনিয়ন) is an organization affiliated to Students' Federation of India in Tripura. The Tribal Students Union (TSU) is the student wing of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) in Tripura.[1]

History[edit]

The organization was formed in 19th-20th August 1978 at Khowai by Tribal Youth Federation. TSU works in close coordination with Tribal Youth Federation and is often considered as the Student wing of TYF. The Students’ Federation of India and Tribal Students Union was leads the student unions council of 22 degree colleges across the state and there were total 778 seats.[2] The Students' Federation of India (SFI) and Tribal Students Union (TSU) together secured 751 seats out of the total 778 seats in 2017 college election.[3]
