Trojan Souls is the name of an unfinished studio album recorded and produced by English singer-songwriter George Michael, originally scheduled for release in fall 1993 through Warner Records.[1] Intended as a duets album, it was supposed to include artists such as Elton John,[1][4][5] Aretha Franklin,[1][4] Stevie Wonder,[4][5] Bryan Ferry,[1][5] Sade,[5] Seal,[1][5] Janet Jackson[5] and Anita Baker.[4]

In 1998, it was revealed that the project was only half-completed, and that it would be "out early in the new millenium".[4]

Leak[edit]

Over the years, a variety of material recorded during the Trojan Souls sessions has appeared on various bootleg releases, including a studio version of McFadden & Whitehead's "Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now", originally intended as the lead single from the album,[6] as well as "This Kind of Love"[7] and a behind-the-scenes documentary, presumably filmed for a home video release.[8]
