From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Tronsmart is an electronic goods manufacturer based in Shenzhen, China. The company provides peripherals for smartphones and specializes in quick charging and wireless technology.[1]

Their brand ambassador is Uruguayan footballer Luis Suárez.[2]

History[edit]

In 2013 Chinese tech enthusiast Eric Cheng founded Tronsmart. Cheng used the proceeds from his first paycheck to create a small laboratory in the Shenzhen district of China. He used the laboratory to disassemble audio devices to grasp a better understanding of how they worked and began assembling his own devices. Eventually, Cheng put together a team and brought his self-made electronics to mass production under the brand name Tronsmart.[3]

in November 2013 Tronsmart released their first device, the T1000 MiraCast.[4] The device became one of the fastest selling casting devices. The following year the company released its Octa-Core Android TV Box.[5]

In May 2015, Tronsmart entered the Quick Charge market with a range of products that support Qualcomm Quick Charge technology. The same year they expanded the warranty of their Quick Charge products to 18 months, inspiring other technology manufacturers to do the same. Tronsmart also released the Presto, a portable charger with a bi-directional USB-C port and a traditional USB outlet designed specifically for Android devices.[6]

In September 2017 Tronsmart released its first range of Bluetooth speakers, the T2, and the T6. The T6 featured a passive radiator which created extra bass vibrations on whatever surface it is placed on; It also had 15-hour battery life[7][8]. The same year (2017) Tronsmart also released a new wall charger which it claimed was the world’s most powerful charger as it utilises both PD (power delivery) and Quick Charge 3.0 technology alongside its VoltiQ technology.[9]

When Apple announced they would be removing headphone ports from their smartphones, Tronsmart anticipating a demand in Lightning headphones developed the Tronsmart encore in ear headphones, these are noise canceling headphones. In-ear headphones come with built in DAC and LAM audio modules[10]. Tronsmart also produce the Mega Bluetooth 4.2 40W Speakers. The speaker combined 3D digital sound with DSP technology to eliminate distortion.[11]

In 2018 Tronsmart released their Spunky Buds in-ear auto-connect headphones. Spunky Buds are designed for athletes who run a lot and come in a closed capsule which doubles up as battery powered charger. The Spunky Buds are also IPX5 certified, meaning they can be used in the rain and are also protected from excess sweat during a workout[12] [13]. They also signed renowned footballer Luis Suarez as their brand ambassador.[14] Suarez used and promoted Tronsmart’s products throughout the 2018 world cup. The signing was Tronsmart’s first foray into sports marketing.[15]
