TruBit is a global cryptocurrency exchange founded in Mexico.[1] It was founded in 2019 by the name of Mexo with the backing of Galactic Holdings.[2]
In October 2022, the company announced the merger of its exchange platform Mexo, with its TruBit wallet, thus renamiing the company with the name TruBit.[3]

TruBit was founded on 20th August 2019, by the name of Mexo with the backing of Galactic Holdings, a leading global blockchain and venture capital incubator for the LATAM market.[4] The company is made up of a team of blockchain leaders in Mexico and LATAM backed by a group of international experts.[5]
In October 2020, the company launched its ambassador program for Mexico, Argentina, Venezuela, El Salvador, Colombia, and the rest of Latam, not including Brazil, only Spanish speaking countries[6] In addition, Mexo launched the first trading academy in Spanish which was completely free.[7] In November 2020, Mexo launches Paper Trading contest for new users in Latin America[8]
In Jun 2021, Mexo partnered with Moneta Digital, the first stablecoin pegged to Mexican Peso (MMXN).[9] In August 2021, Mexo celebrates the 1st anniversary, and partnered with over 10 projects including DeFi, GameFi and third party partners and media friends celebrated the first year of Mexo.[10]
In November 2021, the company announces its participation as a sponsor of the ninth edition of the Latin American Bitcoin & Blockchain Conference (LaBITConf), which will be held from November 15 to 20.[11]
In October 2022, Mexo worked on the creation of a Crypto wallet under the name of TruBit Wallet.[12] On October 3rd, Mexo announced the merger of its Mexo exchange platform with its TruBit wallet and renamed the company with the name "TruBit".[13]
