Tudor Tarts
The Tudor Tarts[1] were a Renaissance-themed performing duo based in Pflugerville, Texas, during the 1990s and early 2000s. Consisting of Kathy Boyd and Elizabeth Moore, they performed what they called "bawdy ballads, lascivious limericks, and nasty bits of humor." They performed a cappella, singing traditional and original pub songs and sea shanties, at Renaissance fairs and Irish/English-themed pubs in Central and Southeast Texas.
They were the emcees at the Dog and Duck Pub[2] in Austin, Texas for St. Patrick's Day for several years, and performed at the Austin Celtic Festival.
In 2002, the duo were named "Best Renaissance Women" by the Austin Chronicle.[3]
