Twentytwo13 is an independent online news organisation based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The news website is accredited by the Information Department of Malaysia, a government body under the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia, Malaysia.

On 7th October 2021, Twentytwo13 was named permanent media partner by Sport Integrity Global Alliance.[1]

Twentytwo13 went live on 22nd May, 2018 at 10.13pm or 22:13 in military time.[2]

The news website's motto is 'People's Perspectives, Breaking Boundaries'[3]

It focuses on in-depth analysis and commentaries regarding current affairs, politics and sports.

Overview[edit]

The news website caters to a niche demographic and and has been widely quoted by its peers.

Twentytwo13 is present on social media, namely Instagram, Facebook and Twitter (@twentytwo13news). Twentytwo13 articles are also featured on news aggregator Newswav.

There are four main sections on the website:

Issues - regarding daily news / news-related articles

Tech - news in relation to technology.

Sports - news items related to sports, sports policies and sport diplomacy.

Expressions - a platform where people share their views. There is also a sub section called Young Voices for those aged between 13 and 17.

Twentytwo13 is also the media partner of the Sport Integrity Week 2021 organised by Sport Integrity Global Alliance (SIGA) and on 7th October, 2021 it was named SIGA's permanent media partner.

The news agency has also teamed up with Football Tribe Malaysia to host an online football show, 'Rembat!'.

Twentytwo13 is a privately-owned news website. Its main investors are the co-founders, Pearl Lee and Haresh Deol.
