Tyreke Tayshawn Zebulun (born December 8, 1998), known professionally as Ty Dinero[1] (stylized as Ty Dinero2x[2]), is an American rapper from Harlem, New York. Currently unsigned, Ty Dinero's debut album is set to be released sometime in 2019.

Dinero has released the mixtapes Applying Pressure[3] (2017), Menace 2 Society[4] (2017), VIBES[5] (2017), and Dinero Da Vinci[6] (2017).

Early life

Tyreke grew up in Harlem, New York. He graduated from high school when he was 17. He was influenced by Chief Keef[7], Meek Mill[8], gherbo, Capo (GBE), rich the kid, soulja boy, and Lil Wayne. Dinero decided to pursue his music career after he realized basketball wasn't going to work out for him at the time and wanted a faster way to get money. He found himself skipping his basketball practices and hanging out more. Ty noticed that his ambition and drive for the game were fading away.

Career

Dinero never thought of being a rapper, but in 2016, one day one of his good friends, who is also a musical artist, told Dinero to come to the studio. Dinero made his first track ever, which is unreleased, and found a new hobby. At the time (2016), he posted his first track on Soundcloud, which was a remix of Drake's single at the time called "Energy"[9]. As months went by, Dinero began posting music more frequently, gaining notice from different supporters and artists around the world. He began to see his followers on Instagram[10] and Twitter[11] rise, and streams were going up.

Late 2017, Ty Dinero dropped a raw remix to Tay K's hit song "The Race"[12]. This track gained notice from Hot New Hip Hop[13] (HNHH). The magazine made an online article stating that Tay-K's[14] "The Race" has become a popular track to freestyle over, and Ty Dinero has delivered an impressive take on the track with his new submission. The Harlem rapper brings some animated rhymes to the hazy instrumental, as well as some equally inspired ad-libs. He brings enough personality to the track to justify using the familiar instrumental, and has drawn our attention to the other material on his SoundCloud. His uncompromising drill-inspired street rap feels like it's descended from the work of fellow New Yorkers Bobby Shmurda and Rowdy Rebel. Listen to more music from the promising rapper here.[15].

He self-released his first mixtape, Applying Pressure[16] on SoundCloud. Ending 2017 strong, he released his second mixtape, Menace 2 Society[17]. His first viral SoundCloud singles “FEIN[18]” and “The Motto[19][1]” were a huge step to show that his music is in the direction of mainstream. Starting in 2018, Dinero's[20] hit single “FEIN[21]” got the attention of Genius[22], posting Dinero's[23] lyrics for better understanding. In March 2016, Dinero[24] announced that he was starting a label called Splash Gang Music Group (SGM).

Musical style

Dinero[25] states that he doesn't really listen to mainstream artists, so with the help of YouTube[26], he finds new artists, some he thinks are better than mainstream artists. The artists he listens to give him inspiration to try new flows and styles with his own music.
