The Uday Foundation is a non-profit organization headquartered in New Delhi, India, which focuses on improving the health and well-being of the homeless population and providing disaster relief assistance with dignity and support.[1][2][3][4]
History[edit]
Uday Foundation was established in 2007 and named after Uday, who was born with multiple congenital defects. Uday underwent multiple correction surgeries and hospital stays in 2006. His father Rahul Verma, the founder of Uday Foundation, spent a year in the hospital with him and experienced firsthand the difficulties that poor patients and their caregivers face in the hospital. This experience motivated him to establish the foundation to provide support to those in need.[5][6]
Activities[edit]
The foundation offers in-kind assistance to homeless individuals, including clothing, blankets, dry rations, and dignity kits and emergency supplies.[7] [8][9]
Additionally, the foundation operates a free medical clinic for underprivileged patients and provides medical care to critically ill children, offering storytelling sessions to children in hospitals and provides medical help to critically ill children[10] including storytelling sessions for children in hospital.[11]

The foundation received the NGO Leadership & Excellence Awards 2015 by ABP News.[12]
