Ukinebo Dare
Ukinebo Omorowa Dare is a Nigerian corporate executive. She is the senior special assistant to the Edo state governor, Governor Godwin Obaseki on job creation and skills development popularly known as "Edojobs". [1][2] Before this appointment, she was the group managing director of Poise Nigeria and chief executive officer of Poise Graduate Finishing Academy (PGFA).[3]

Ukinebo is a graduate of Benson Idahosa University where she studied computer science. She holds a Master's in management from the University of Bradford, United Kingdom and she also holds a certificate in business and entrepreneurship degree from Clark Atlanta University, United States of America under the Mandela Washington fellowship.[4]
Career[edit]
Ukinebo started her career at Oando Plc as a systems administrator in 2008, after which she had a career change from computer science to capacity development with Poise Nigeria in 2010.[5] Upon her return to Nigeria after earning her master's degree in UK, she started Poise Graduate Finishing Academy (PGFA) a training program that teaches youths employability skills using the PSENSE curriculum she designed. The curriculum has been endorsed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) for implementation by higher institutions. She also served as the program director of Ekobits, an academy that provides ICT and digital design training to youth from disadvantaged communities and connects them to opportunities.[3]
Currently, she is the Senior Special Assistant to the governor of Edo State on Skills Development and jobs creation. [4] In this role, she led the establishment of the Edo innovation hub which was launched and commissioned for operations by the Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo on June 14, 2018. The hub has commence training of youths in Edo state on various aspects of technology such as data management, programming, basic digital skills, and artificial intelligence in partnership with Curators University, Siemens, Tech4Dev, Microsoft, Impact Hub, and HotelsNg.[6]

- Ukinebo was nominated and won the Prize for Youth Employment at the Future Awards Africa in 2015.[7][8][9]
- She was selected for the 2017 Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders.[10]
