History[edit]
United Academy (Nepali: युनाइटेड एकेडेमी) is a private education institution, located at Kumaripati, Lalitpur District, in the Bagmati Province of Nepal. It was established in 1997[1]. United Academy offers education from Pre-Primary (preschool) to Post-Graduate level. United Academy has junior wings comprising of United School (established in 2000) and United Universal School (acquired in 2020) up to Secondary Education Examination (SEE) level, a senior wing comprising of (United Academy, +2 level) affiliated to National Examinations Board, Bhaktapur, Nepal, and United College (established in 2002) runs Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs affiliated with Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal.
Academic Programs[edit]
Pre-Primary, Primary and Secondary Courses
As of 2022, under the United School, the pre-primary, primary and Secondary Level Course was initiated in affiliation with Secondary Education Examination (SEE), Nepal. In 2020, United Academy Group acquired Aster Academy (established in 1983) as United Universal School. As of 2022, United Universal School has Primary and Secondary Level Courses in affiliation with Secondary Education Examination (SEE), Nepal.
Higher Secondary Level Course
As of 2022, the higher secondary (+2) level at United Academy has Science, Management, Humanities and Law streams that were initiated in affiliation with the National Examination Board (NEB), Nepal.
Undergraduate and Postgraduate Courses
As of 2022, United College runs four undergraduate and one graduate-level courses affiliated with Tribhuvan University. The undergraduate courses are Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS[2]), Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) and, Bachelor of Business Management (BBM). The graduate course is Master of Business Studies (MBS).
Clubs and Centers[edit]
The Academy offers its students in higher secondary, undergraduate and graduate levels to engage in activities through the establishment of various clubs: Student Council Club, Literary and Publication Club, Nature Club, Social Work Club, Cultural Club, Sports Club, and Robotics Club[3][4][5]. In 2022, United Center for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Incubation - UCEII[6][7] was established to play a role in fostering entrepreneurship and innovation thereby providing a platform to students for incubating business ideas.
