The United Campaign for Fulfillment of the Working Class Aspirations (Persian: اتحاد مبارزه در راه آرمان طبقه کارگر, romanized: etteḥād-e mobāraza dar rāh-e ārmān-e ṭabaqa-ye kārgar) was a small communist party in Iran. This organization was led by Javad Qaedi[who?] and it was ideologically close to thinking of Taghi Shahram[who?].[1]
History[edit]
The group was mainly consisted of some Marxist Mojahedin members who refused to join the Organization of Struggle for the Emancipation of the Working Class (Peykar). In May 1979, Peykar organized a conference in Tehran and invited this group, among others, to form a united front under its leadership, but was unable to reach an agreement.[2]
A split in the organization seriously weakened it, and the remaining members joined the Union of Iranian Communists. Other members who allied with the Warriors for the Freedom of the Working Class, eventually formed the Worker-communist Party of Iran.[1]
