University Putra Malaysia Teaching Hospital (UPMH or HPUPM)[1] is one of the teaching hospital in Malaysia located in Serdang, Selangor,[2] adjacent to Serdang Hospital. The hospital is the main teaching facility for the Universiti Putra Malaysia Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. The nearest KTM Komuter and Putrajaya Line stations are Serdang Komuter Station and UPM MRT Station. It is also connected with Express Rail Link services namely KLIA Express and KLIA Transit due to its close proximity to Putrajaya. The hospital was established to provide sub-specialty medical care to the surrounding community in Serdang, Kajang and Putrajaya, ultimately to cater South Klang Valley population of nearly 2 million people.

Historically the Universiti Putra Malaysia Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences was depending on government hospitals specifically Serdang Hospital and Kajang Hospital to be used as it's teaching facility.
Following the approval from the Ministry of Health (Malaysia) in 2013, the hospital was built on a 38.4 hectare site next to the existing Serdang Hospital. It was completed and operating in 2019.[3][4] It is a design-build project under Malaysian Public Works Department and implemented by Ministry of Higher Education (Malaysia).
In mid 2020, the hospital opened its doors to the public. The MYR800 million hospital took approximately 6 years to complete.
Services[edit]
The hospital has 400 beds with 17 wards and public amenities such as 2,000 parking bays, ill patients waiting room, multi-faith outlet room, discharge patients lawns, prisoner holding, nine retail outlets, cafeteria and playground.
It is designed with a dedicated six intensive care unit (ICU) beds, eight acute stroke unit beds, and one neurology ward focusing specifically on stroke rehabilitation.
