(Unni Mukundan) UM Films Pvt Ltd was formed in 2020[1] by Unni Mukundan with a vision to create a production house built on the foundation on trust, creative freedom, excellence in Film making and global reach.[2] UMF aims to be a reputed studio based on strong foundation of corporate governance and structure to bring in professional and transparent approach to the movie making process.[3]
UMF aims to go beyond malayalam industry and create reach by producing regional movies (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bhojpuri, Marathi etc.) And open opportunities for talents to cross pollinate and collaborate bringing in more vibrancy and freshness to the movie making process. UMF aims to create equal opportunities by creating merit-based selection and evaluation process to create new talent pool and next generation of movie makers. [4]
