Urdu Gah is an Urdu blog from Pakistan dedicated to the promotion of Urdu language and literature. It is the first Urdu website in the history of the Internet, whose address is written in Urdu Alphabet, i.e., اردو.com.[1]

Urdu Gah started as a personal blog around 2007. After continuing under different names at various times, it assumed its current form in 2019. The founder, administrator and main author of Urdu Gah is Raheel Farooq, a writer and spoken word artist from Pakistan.
Sections[edit]
At this time, Urdu Gah consists of about a dozen sections including classics, orthography, dictionary (Farhang e Asifiya), audio literature, idioms, prosody, quotes, proverbs, poetry and prose. As an individual effort, it is believed to be the largest personal blog in the Urdu blogosphere.
Recognition[edit]
Urdu Gah is considered one of the valuable and authentic Urdu resources online by Urdu teachers, students and general readers. Its contents are included among Suggested Readings for students of different levels in Iran, India, UK and Pakistan etc.[2][3]
