Usha Parkhi

Dr Usha Parkhi (b 1933) is a Hindustani vocalist from Nagpur. She started learning under D G alias Bhayyaji Vazalwar. Later the eminent teacher and singer Jagannathbuwa Purohit "Gunidas" gave her tuition in the 1960s, but he died soon after their association started.

Born on 22 January 1934 at Nagpur, she completed B.A. and received her Master of Music degree.[1] She has a doctorate in music from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. She used to perform in concerts even in her early seventies. She has been a reputed music teacher in Nagpur.
