Usteq
From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki
Usteq is catastrophic land collapse caused by the melting of permafrost, coastal flooding and erosion.[1] Usteq, a Yup'ik word, has been used to describe the disappearance of frozen tundra occupied by Alaskan Native communities along the Bering Sea coast.[2] The phenomenon may result in large-scale environmental migration in Alaska, especially among Alaska Native communities.[3]
