) is a 2020 Indian Tamil-language short film written and directed by Jameer, produced by V.V. Niril Kumar under the banner VPN Pictures and co-produced by K. Srinivasan.
The First Look Poster was officially released by G. V. Prakash Kumar on 24 April 2019 on his Twitter handle [3] and the audio was launched by Director Mohan Raja.[4] This short film has bagged a handful of awards at various festivals for various categories, and it has also won the award-winning title at The PlayButton Short Film Festival 2020 held by the Indo-Russian Cinemas at The Russian Center of Science and Culture, Alwarpet.[5]
Plot
An underprivileged fourth grade boy's life turns topsy-turvy due to the Government's decision to shut down primary schools in some villages.

Play Button Short Film Festival 2020
With an entry of 187 short films, Vagupparai 4B was shortlisted in the Top 35. The former also won the public voting with a competitive number of votes, alongside scoring a great score of 8.75 by the juries and bagged the respectable awards, The Best short film Award (Festival Winner) and People's choice award (Tamil). The short film is being dubbed in Russian language for special screening supported by a media partner TV BRICS Network.[16]
Clubby Online Mini Movie Festival 2019
Vagupparai also got the maximum number of votes and made its way into the Top 30 out of 3500 entries. The results are still on hold due to the Pandemic, Coronavirus 2020.[17]
Premieres
The short film was premiered on 24 November 2019 with 3 shows at M.M.Theatre, Kodambakkam, Chennai with a huge crowd and it was also premiered in a popular Tamil channel "Sun Life" a network of Sun TV (India).[citation needed]
White Wall Short Film festival 2020
In this festival held by a set of young and energetic directors in Bangalore, Vagupparai was one of the three films to be shortlisted and screened, with special mentions and appreciations during the panel discussion by the Kannada Filmmaker Vinay Bharadwaj.[citation needed]
Sieger National Film Festival 2020
Actor Pandiarajan, had specially mentioned about the music and audio of the film, the composition and lyrics were highly appreciated.[18]
