Valeria Landivar
Valeria Landivar is a Bolivian-born Canadian entrepreneur, digital strategist, author, and hotelier. She is co-owner and general manager of the Auberge des 21, a boutique hotel located in La Baie, Saguenay, Quebec.[1] She is also a board member of the Association Hôtellerie du Québec (AHQ).[2]
Biography
Landivar was born in Bolivia and immigrated to Quebec, Canada. Her journey as an immigrant entrepreneur has been profiled in media outlets such as Mots d’Elles and Hotellerie Québec.[3][4]
Career
Marketing and communications
Before entering the hospitality sector, Landivar built a career as a digital strategist specializing in social media. She contributed numerous articles on marketing and online communication to the Montreal daily Journal Métro.[5] She also published practical guides and ebooks, including Introducción al Marketing por Internet and Strategies for Social Media Marketing.[6][7]
She has been invited to speak at conferences and training events, including the Grands Communicateurs series at Université TÉLUQ where she presented a talk on the role of Twitter in networking and career development,[8] and as a trainer for Infopresse on community management.[9]
Hospitality
In 2022, Landivar and her partner, Benoît Leclerc, acquired the Auberge des 21, a 31-room hotel located on the Saguenay Fjord. Their acquisition and management strategy were covered in regional and industry media including HRImag, Informe Affaires and Le Soleil.[10][11]
Under their direction, the inn has emphasized sustainable development, regional gastronomy, and partnerships with local producers.[12]
