The Vancouver Knights are a professional basketball team based at Richmond, British Columbia, within the Greater Vancouver area.[1]

History[edit]

On July 26, 2017, North American Premier Basketball announced that a team would play in Seattle, Washington. In August, Incepto Sports named the team the Seattle Knights.[2] On November 3, the Knights moved to Greater Vancouver as the Vancouver Knights.[3] The team joined Yakima Sun Kings in the Pacific Northwest in the NAPB. Partway through the inaugural season, the Knights' ownership left the team to take over operations of the Ohio team, later rebranded as the Ohio Bootleggers.[4] The Knights continued to play out the season, but no longer played any home games.

As of July 2018, the NAPB was fully acquired by Dave Magley and rebranded as The Basketball League (TBL). After the transistion, Vancouver was not longer listed as a member of the league.[5]
