Veerappampalayam (Tamil: வீரப்பம்பாளையம்) is a neighbourhood in Erode district of Tamil Nadu state in the peninsular India. [1][2]

On the occasion of assembly by-elections held on February 27, 2023, for the Erode East Assembly constituency, Tamil Nadu political parties campaigned in several areas including Veerpampalayam area.[4][5] The election officers inspected election workshops of political parties that were opened without permission.[6] Paramilitary forces along with flying squads checked vehicles at various places including Veerappampalayam area, intensively.[7]

Veerappampalayam area falls under the Erode East Assembly constituency.[8] The winner of the by-election held in the year 2023 as the member of its assembly constituency is E. V. K. S. Elangovan.[9] Also, this area belongs to Erode Lok Sabha constituency. The winner of the election held in the year 2019, as the member of its Lok Sabha constituency is A. Ganeshamurthi.[10]
