Veekshanam is a leading daily newspaper published from Kochi. Veekshanam is the official front page of the Congress Party in Kerala. It was started by Indira Gandhi in 1976.[2]
First copy of Veekshanam newspaper was published on the 11th of February 1976. by A.K. Antony, former Defence Minister of India, was First Chairman of the Veekshanam. Editions were released simultaneously from Kochi, Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram. Within 6 months, editions started in Kannur and Kottayam.
Veekshanam now has editions in Kollam and Thrissur. KPCC President K Sudhakaran is currently the Chairman of Veekshanam. KPCC General Secretary Adv. Jason Joseph is the current Managing Director.

Veekshanam is printed from Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kozhikode, Kochi, Thrissur, and Kannur.
