Vega IT Sourcing is a software development service provider, founded in 2008 and based in Novi Sad, Serbia. It is a privately held company with no external funding.

Vega IT Sourcing was founded in July 2008 by two former students of Faculty of Technical Sciences Saša and Vladan.[1][2]
In 2010, Vega IT created a partnership with EpiServer and Microsoft. Later on, in 2011 Vega IT partnered with Umbraco and Sitecore. In 2012 Vega IT purchased their first business premises, and in the year 2013 Boban Mikšin, current CTO joined as a new partner. Vega IT transitioned from small to medium enterprise in 2014.
In 2015 Vega IT established the Geekstone[3] association and organisation of IT events and new business premises were purchased during this year at Aleksandar building[4]. During 2016 Vega IT counts 100 employees and opens a new office space in Zrenjanin. [5]
In 2017 Vega IT organized the first Hackathon "Code for a Cause"[6] in Novi Sad. During this year Vega IT became a member of the Digital Serbia Initiative[7] and organised the second Hackathon “Code For a Cause 2” in 2018.[8]
2019 was the year Hackathon "Code For a Cause 3[9]" was organised. They also expanded their office space in Novi Sad and Zrenjanin. In 2019 Vega IT launched their first product called Heartcount[10] an invested in Publit.io.[11]
