Veleco is a Polish manufacturer of electric vehicles, which include mopeds and mobility scooters. The Czestochowa based company produces vehicles as well as electric components. It sells to the European market, which includes member countries of the European Union, and the United Kingdom.[1]
History[edit]
Veleco company was founded in 2011 by Jakub Marek in the Great Britain and later in 2016 relocated to Poland.[2] During 2017, the company entered into a manufacturer-distributor contract with Lunex Technology LTD, starting creation of its Authorized Reseller Network,[3] reaching European and the United Kingdom market via brand Velobike.[4]
By 2018, the company has introduced new models into its offer, including another brand, Doohan Technology.[5]
In 2019, the company has strengthened its position on German market by entering another agreement with Lauftech GmbH.[6]
Near the end of 2020, the company was contacted by FJM Medical, a distributor of medical supplies from France.[7]
The company has claimed the Quality International 2020 Award,[8][9] due to exceptional model DRACO, a contribution which was recognized across the European Union.
Progressing into 2021, more resellers have joined the Authorized Reseller Network: Boxotto from Italy[10] and Mobility Vida from Spain.[11] With those two distributors negotiating the distribution contracts, Veleco strengthened its position in the western European market.
On February 4th, 2021, one of Veleco vehicles was stolen from a pensioner in Cornwall.[12] The reseller Velobike has contacted the manufacturer Veleco, who decided to aid the pensioner who lost his mobility scooter.
Between March 18-19 2021 the company participated in Naidex Vitrutal 2021 event[13], as one of the exhibitors.
