Vella Group, LLC (and its predecessor companies) is a privately held commercial real estate development company that invests in creative office buildings in Los Angeles, New York City, Miami, Chicago and Las Vegas[2] [3] It was founded by Zach Vella,[4] who has appeared in the real estate reality television series Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles.[5][6]

History[edit]

The company was originally named VE Equities LLC and primarily focused on investments in the Tribeca neighborhood of Lower Manhattan. The company was founded in 2005 with headquarters in New York City.[7]

In 2014, Zach Vella became the sole stakeholder, and the company was renamed Vella Group, LLC. At the same time the company relocated its headquarters to West Hollywood, California[8]

Arts Matrix, Los Angeles, CA[edit]

The Arts Matrix, Los Angeles, CA is one of the Group’s largest projects located in the Arts District near the Los Angeles River, comprising of 800,00 square feet of offices, 250 residencies, and various hospitality facilities that include two hotels and various eateries[9]

Hawthorne Arts Complex, Hawthorne, CA[edit]

Vella Group is responsible for developing the Hawthorne Arts Complex in Hawthorne, California.[10]

London Arts Club, West Hollywood, CA[edit]

The company is a minority investor in the London Arts Clubin West Hollywood based on the original one in London. The project is backed by American actress Gwyneth Paltrow.[11] [12]

Magic City Innovation District, Miami, FL[edit]

In Miami, the Group is a vested partner and Zach Vella is the managing board member of this $1 billion project in the city’s Little Haiti neighborhood.[13]

650-700 Pacific Coast Hwy, El Segundo, CA[edit]

The company purchased the property in 2019 in a partnership with the United Kingdom based real estate firm London & Regional Properties (L&R). It consists of three buildings which totals 200,000 square-foot and is situated on 6-acres. The properties are located on the Pacific Coast Highway near the Los Angeles International Airport.[14]

Ring Campus, Hawthorne, CA[edit]

12515 Cerise Avenue is a ground-up development by Vella Group which houses the office of Ring, a smart home and home security company owned by Amazon.[15]

949 Park Avenue, New York City, NY[edit]

This property is located on Park Avenue in New York City. It is 16,000 square feet and houses 4 apartments, which includes a duplex, triplex and quadruplex, all of which have a private balcony and terrace.[16]
