Venice Brands[1] is a consumer brands holding company based in Venice, CA that focuses on health, wellness and sustainability. It is the sponsor of Venice Brands Acquisition Corp. I, which filed with the SEC in 2021 to raise up to $150 million in an IPO.[2][3]

Overview[edit]

The firm was founded by Greg Willsey in 2016. The firm has created, invested in, and/or acquired consumer branded companies including Joolies, Kinderfarms, Enroot, Mayweather Boxing + Fitness, Only Skin, Yellowbird, Osso Good, Desert Valley Date, The Date Shoppe, and The Flavor Chef.[4][5]

Venice Brands and the Kohl Family Farm co-created a company via joint partnership called Joolies which is one of the largest growers and processors of date fruit in the United States. The company owns farms in Coachella, CA and sells products under three brands: Joolies, The Date Shoppe, and Desert Valley Date.[6][7][8]

The firm created Kinderfarms alongside Jessica Biel and Jeremy Adams, which provides natural, effective health and wellness products for families. The company offers clean options such as Kinderlyte oral electrolyte solutions and Kindersprout plant protein shakes.[9][10][11]

The firm created Enroot alongside Brad Pitt, Cristina Patwa, John Fogelman and The James Beard Foundation. The company’s products include five sparkling tea blends that pay homage to co-founder Cristina Patwa’s grandmother and her legacy as a farmer and food entrepreneur in the Philippines.[12][13]

The firm created Mayweather Boxing + Fitness alongside Floyd Mayweather and James Williams, which is a fitness and boxing experience group with franchised locations across the United States and overseas.  It also purchased the rights to open 30 franchised locations in California.[14][15][16]
