Career[edit]
Venkitesh made his first big-screen appearance through 2017 film Velipadinte Pusthakam starring Mohanlal and was part of the viral song "Jimikki Kammal". He played an uncredited role as a college-student. He was casted as the main lead in a Telugu film directed by Veeranji following his acting in a short film Mukilae.[2] He participated in the 2018 talent-hunt reality show Nayika Nayakan[3] and bagged the best comedian title of the show.[4] He was announced as the lead actor named Das on Vishakh Nair's Das Capital.[5]
After making a cameo appearance in Thattumpurath Achuthan through the song "Muthumani Radhe"[6] and a minor role in Odiyan his first leading role came with Stand Up (2019), directed by Vidhu Vincent, in which he played Amal, the abusive boyfriend of Diya, played by Rajisha Vijayan.[7][8][9] Reviewing the film for Onlookers Media, Vignesh Shivan called him "quite impressive".[10] Later he did a supporting role in Mammootty starrer The Priest playing Siddharth, boyfriend of Jessie, played by Nikhila Vimal.[11][12][13][14] Anna M. M. Vetticad of Firstpost reviewing his performance in the movie wrote that he made "most of the situation and delivered performances that is impressive considering the flaws he must contend with".[15] He then went on to reunite with Rajisha Vijayan through Kho-Kho portraying Ben.[16]
