Victor Matara[1] is a Kenyan Blogger, Radio Presenter and Digital Marketing Consultant. He started his Radio Career in 2014 at Kenyatta University Radio as a Mid-Morning host for a show called Campus Icon.[2]. He ran the show for 2 years till June 2016. The show majorly focused on celebrity interviews which aimed at inspiring the campus students. On December 2015, he represented Kenyatta University alongside Amos Njeru on Nation FM’s Vocal Nation[3]– A competition that was seeking the next top campus Radio Presenters.
The same year, he joined Mseto East Africa where he headed the now defunct Msetoea.com. The website mainly wrote about entertainment news from across East Africa. He also doubled up as a campus reporter for Mambo Mseto on Radio Citizen hosted by Mzazi Willy Tuva on a segment called Mseto Kwenye Campus[4] till November 2016 when he joined Hot 96 FM as a Social Media consultant.

Victor was born In Kisii county, Kenya on 1st May 1996. He went to Kari Primary school in Kisii Town for his primary Education and was admitted to Agoro Sare High school in HomaBay county for secondary education the year 2010. He was admitted to Kenyatta University in September 2014 to pursue analytical chemistry.
Digital Marketing Career[edit]
As a Digital Marketing Consultant, Victor has worked with several brands like Coca-Cola for Coke Studio Africa season 4 and season 5. He has also worked with Safaricom; 4G campaign and Blaze Be Your Own Boss, Samsung; J1 campaign, Green Light Planet; Sun King Solar Product Campaign, Squad Digital, Optiven Limited; real estate company, Trippy GO Tours, Radio Maisha’s Evening show as social media manager, head of digital at Kenyatta University Radio, DSTV Kenya, and the Octopizzo Foundation.

Victor Matara has been mentioned as one of the most influential youths in Kenya [5] boasting a reach of 3 Million views per month on his Lifestyle Blog[6][7]. He was nominated for Xtreem Awards 2015 Most influential social media personality.Victor is ranked in the top 100 most influential Youth in Kenya by Kenyayote.com. He is also ranked in the top social media influencers in Kenya by Business Today[8]
On 14th March 2017, he started a lifestyle called Victormatara.com which currently ranks in top 100 most visited websites in Kenya according to Alexa[9]. His articles have also been featured on Standardmedia.co.ke and various news sites in Kenya.
