Victoria Ibiwoye is a Nigerian social entrepreneur, Founding Director of the One African Child Foundation — an organisation founded to help (marginalized) children discover their self-identity through quality education and empowerment, She is a youth representative for the SDG-Education 2030 Steering Committee by UNESCO.[1]>

Life[edit]

Victoria Ibiwoye attended the [[University of Ibadan}} where she earned a Bachelor's degree in English in the year 2015, Victoria served as a presenter and also as a director of International opportunities with Junior Chambers International at the University of Ibadan from 2013 to 2014. She was also a member of African students for Liberty (ASFL) where she served as the local coordinator, She later went on to Intern for Nigeria Economic Summit Group (NESG) from January to March 2015.[2]

Career[edit]

Victoria with her legal background has worked with Global education Monitoring Report such as UNESCO on its accountability in Education campaign calling on governments to enforce the right to education in national law. She also spoke at the UN and several high-level meetings with leaders and relevant stakeholders to prioritize education for all.[3]

Victoria is the Founding Director of the One African Child Foundation — an organisation founded to help (marginalized) children discover their self-identity through quality education and empowerment.

Awards[edit]

  • In 2017 and 2018, Victoria was named as 100 Most Influential Young Africans by the African Youth Awards.[citation needed]
  • She is also a 2019 Mandela Washington Fellow [3]
  • A recipient of the Princess Diana Legacy Awards for her contribution to education and youth developmen[4]
