Victoria Randem, (born 1995 in Oslo), is a Norwegian opera singer (soprano) who is currently employed by Staatsoper Berlin. Randem was educated at the Norwegian National Academy of Opera in Oslo with Solveig Kringlebotn as her teacher. Before this, she had studied at the Barratt Due Institute of Music.[1]
Randem was a member of the Children's Choir at Den Norske Opera & Ballett from 2002 until 2012. There she performed several soloist roles, including Enkefru Gnien in Peter Maxwell Davies' Askepott on Stage 2, 3rd Boy in Mozart's Magic Flute and Pong in Gisle Kverndokk's Around the World in 80 Days[2]
In 2020, she won a gold medal in the class for virtuosity in the Manhattan International Competition. At the Queen Sonja Singing Competition in 2023 she won Ingrid Bjoner's scholarship.[3][4]
In 2021, Randem had the female lead in the premiere of Peter Eötvös' opera Sleepless, based on a trilogy by Jon Fosse.[5]
