The Victorians Party is a political party in Victoria, Australia. It was founded in November 2021 by three Victorian businesspeople and long term Moreland Councillor and former Mayor Oscar Yildiz, aiming to 'provide a voice to those in the community who feel that they are being ignored by a political system that no longer works for them'.[3]
The party was registered by the Victorian Electoral Commission on 9 March 2022[4] and plans to contest the 2022 Victorian state election.
Ideology[edit]
The Victorians Party has no specific policies, but nominates honesty, integrity, and performance as its 'key values',[5] highlighting wage growth, cost of living, education, and health as priorities.[6] The party is variously supportive of small business interests and professional sports clubs, and critical of legislated wage rises, bike lanes, and career politicians.[7]
