The Local Party of Australia (TLPA), abbreviated to The Local Party (TLP), is a minor Australian federal political party based in the state of Tasmania.[5] The party, registered with the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) in 2022,[5] was established in March 2021[6] by Leanne Minshull and Anna Bateman.[2] Its main political ideals centre around Tasmanian interests, building a coalition of independents, and deliberative democracy.
