Vidwath Innovative Solutions Pvt. Ltd is a digital education technological company, headquartered in Mysore, Karnataka. It was founded in 2013 by Rohit M Patil with the sole motto of “Digital Education for All”. Vidwath is one among the many fastest-growing EdTech companies of India. which provides visual and audio-based content for students of 1-10th grade for their academic subjects and contents.

History[edit]

Vidwath was started in 2013[1] by a single man, Rohit M Patil, who is a graduate in electrical engineering and MBA holder in marketing from Bengaluru. With the passion in the field of digital education, he moved to Mysuru to initiate and incorporate his ideas in the education sector. It all began with installing smart classes in the schools and colleges of the Mysuru region which gave him a ray of hope to establish the digital learning programs and schemes to a larger extent. These digital learning resources and services were enlarged later to several educational institutions and government establishments with the goal of online learning resources in every child’s hand.[2]

After the completion of successful 6 years, in December 2019, it launched its own Vidwath Learning App which is based on the K-10 education model. This educational app provides academic online content for students of 1-10th grades which has a unique learning and teaching techniques with the greatest advantages for students and teachers. The Vidwath app has been a crown of success of the company, and the well-known famous South-Indian actor Ramesh Aravind was the brand ambassador of the app.[3]

Products and Services[edit]

Vidwath Learning App is an online learning app which provides customized modules from Grade 1-10 for State Board (Karnataka) and NCERT syllabus with rich visual and animated content along with graphical representation of concepts. Currently, the app covers the content in three different languages, which are English, Kannada and Urdu. The app distinctiveness stands out in giving much preference to regional languages like Kannada, Urdu and even to extend these services in other regional languages like Hindi, Malayalam, Marathi, Telugu, and Tamil, the research is under progress. The app not only contains the academic subjects and concepts, but it is also enriched with question bank, lesson plans, worksheets, concept maps and model question papers which are encouraging resources for students and teachers. Vidwath app has ~9,00,000 users by 2021

The unique products of Vidwath consist of the following:

  • VIDWAN, is a combination of a hi-tech projector connected to a PC with a DVD writer. The contents are projected on the wall or a screen through its powerful lens.
  • VIDWATH DIGITAL LIBRARY, Without the Internet, can setup and accessible through all gadgets.[4]
  • VIDWATH TOUCH is touch screen display which has a high resolution display, supports 20 Touch and Dual OS which is Android and Windows.[5]
  • VIDWATH LITE, it is a tablet which has free offline content for students.
  • VIRTUAL REALITY, it is an All-In-One Virtual Headset which has the content for prescribed syllabus for students to learn with visualization in a real life experience.
  • ANDROID PORTABLE DEVICE, this is an android offline content device to access the content via mobile phone, android TV, and android stick.
