Vigilante Diaries is a 2013 action series starring Jason Mewes, Kevin L Walker, Paul Sloan, Jacqueline Lord, and Jessica Urberuaga.[1] The series gave birth to the 2016 film, Vigilante Diaries.

Production[edit]

Vigilante Diaries is a television and web series that starred Jason Mewes, Kevin L Walker, and Paul Sloan.[2][3] The initial episodes of the series were funded via Chill Inc. with the remaining episodes being funded solely based on fan subscriptions via a unique crowdfunding method.[3][2]

Chill Inc. received 8 million USD for funding in 2012, via Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and William Morris Endeavor.[4] The series later aired on the USA Network but was soon after cancelled, and made into the feature length film, Vigilante Diaries in 2014.[5]

Release[edit]

The series was first exclusively released on the Chill Inc.[6][7][4]The series later aired on USA Network and streamed on popular platforms such as Machinima Inc.[3], Hulu, and YouTube.

Reception[edit]

The series garnered special notoriety due to it being the first of it's kind to use crowdfunding as its primary source for funding.[3][1][8]

In 2014 the series gave birth to the film, Vigilante Diaries, with Walker, Mewes, and Sloan still leading, and adding Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson, Michael Jai White, Michael Madsen, Chasty Ballesteros, Noel Gugliemi, James Russo, and Chavo Guererro Jr. to the cast.[5][9]
