Vijay solanki
Vijay Solanki (born 23 November 1966) is an Indian politician and the district president of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) from Najafgarh District.[1] [2] He was also the member of the Standing committee and member of the Education Committee.
First election[edit]
In the Hastsal seat, BJP candidate Vijay Solanki defeated the Congress candidate Rakesh by a margin of 2309 votes[3]. Vijay was elected as the councillor in the 2009 by-elections of MCD. These elections were held on 5 seats only out of which BJP managed to win three, including Hastsal.
Succeeding Vijay, in 2012, his wife was elected as the councillor after his seat was reserved for women. Solanki's wife, Shashi Prabha served as the deputy mayor of Delhi from 1 April 2016 to 1 April 2017.[4] [5]
