Vilissa Thompson
Vilissa Thompson is a disability rights advocate, social worker[1] and writer.[2][3] She is the creator of the social media campaign #DisabilityTooWhite[4][5] and is the founder of the organization Ramp Your Voice.[6] She has been featured in Forbes,[4] the Huffington Post,[7] NY Times,[8] Buzzfeed,[9] Bitch Media, Upworthy,[10] Black Girl Nerds,[11] and The Atlantic.[12] She also created the Black Disabled Woman Syllabus.[13]
