Virat Vilas Pawar is an Indian science fiction novelist,[1][2][3][4] comic book writer and an advocate.[5]
Early life and education[edit]
Virat completed his schooling at Vasant Vihar High School, Thane after which he completed graduation in Mass Media from Joshi Bedekar College - Mumbai University. Later on, he completed LLB from Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology - DY Patil Law College, Nerul, followed by a Diploma in Cyber Laws from Government Law College, Mumbai.[6]

Hip hop events[edit]
Virat developed his love for hip hop in his early college days (2011) when he used to listen to Eminem and started writing his own raps on the last page of his college notebooks. In no time he gained interest in beatboxing and started performing in his home town- Thane.[7] Later he started researching to meet likeminded people from around the city and got introduced to the small hip hop community that was coming to the light in Mumbai. He realized that Hip Hop artists in Mumbai need exposure to grow so he started organizing hip hop events in Thane and Mumbai. Virat started his hobby project called 'THHM- The Hip Hop Movement' (initially called as Thane Hip Hop Movement) where he along with his teammates organized several events that consisted of bboying, beatboxing, rapping, graffiti and more. Several artists like Divine, Naezy, Bombay Lokal, D-Cypher, Munky Rhymz and more who were the first generation artists from Indian hip pop[8] to perform at THHM.[9][10]
As an author[edit]
In 2019, he published his first superhero novel named Heroes of Wars: Men from the future which is a Sci-fi alternate version of Mahabharata.[2][2] In 2021, he published his second novel named Vidyadhara & the Universe of Magic,[11] which is also a Sci-fi superhero novel inspired by Indian ancient history and mythology.[12] Vidyadhara & the Universe of Magic is the first novel under VirArt Studios, which marked the beginning of the VirArt Universe.[13]
As an advocate[edit]
Virat is a lawyer by profession, he is practicing at Mumbai High Court.[14][15]
VirArt Studios[edit]
Virat used to jot down his thoughts at the back of the diary, and later he converted these writings into short WordPress story series followed by his first novel - Heroes of Wars: Men from the future[16][17][18] which came out in 2019.[19] Virat started a hobby project called VirArt Studios (a subsidiary of Om Publications) which is a platform for Sci-fi artists to connect, collaborate and create Indian superheroes and Sci-fi series for the Indian audience.[20] In 2021, he published his second novel Vidyadhara & The Universe of Magic under VirArt Studios as a proper in-house project.[21][13]
