Von Groove were a Canadian hard rock and AOR band formed in Ontario, Canada in 1990. The group consisted primarily of vocalist and drummer Michael Shotton, guitarist Mladen, and bassist/keyboardist Matthew Gerrard.

History

Von Groove formed in Ontario in 1990 and became part of the melodic rock and AOR scene. Their self-titled debut album Von Groove was released in 1992 and produced by Richie Zito, featuring session drummer Deen Castronovo. The band drew comparisons to artists like Bad English and Giant for their polished, melodic style.

They released several albums throughout the 1990s, including Rainmaker (1995), Mission Man (1997), Chameleon (1998), and Test of Faith (1999). By the early 2000s, the band entered hiatus.

Musical style
