Vultr is a cloud computing provider that is based in West Palm Beach, Florida. Vultr sells services like virtual machines, dedicated servers, and databases. Founded in February 2014 by founder David Aninowsky,[1][2] it has now expanded internationally, with 28 server locations worldwide.[3]

History

Vultr was founded in February 2014 by network engineer David Aninowsky. According to Aninowsky, he had been in the server hosting business for 20 years or more, slowly building his global infrastructure. When he saw the opportunity, he created the company with little capital.[citation needed]

In 2021, Aninowsky launched the cloud computing brand Constant, with Vultr as one of its flagship products, making Vultr a subsidiary of Constant.[4][5][6]

Current

Effective January 1, 2023, Vultr will enact global bandwidth pricing to all servers. This is to reduce complexity in pricing and randomly accrued charges. [7]
