Exoscale was founded in 2011 by Pierre-Yves Ritschard and Antoine Coetsier[1].

Cloud computing[edit]
Virtual servers (VPS) based on Apache CloudStack[2], including GPU offerings.
Cloud storage[edit]
An S3-compatible object storage service.
Scientific computing[edit]
Exoscale was selected to be one of the cloud computing suppliers for the helix nebula computing project[3][4]
Aquisitions and subsidiairies[edit]
In March 2016 Exoscale acquired CloudControl.
