Vysakh Reetha is an Indian filmmaker, director and producer who works in the Malayalam film industry.

He works as Chief Associate director with Filmmaker Krishand for the films Aavasavyuham,[1] which won the Two kerala state film awards and 69th national film awards, Vrithakrithyilulla Charthuram (A minor inconvenience) and Purusha Pretham (The Male Ghost).[2] In 2020 he directed a webseries called "Ennum Varunna Dhoomakedhu - Everyday Meteor" a black comedy web series Penned by Krishand RK and it got nominated in Seoul web-fest 2020 for Best Screenplay and Best Dramedy.[3]

Early life and education[edit]

Vysakh Reetha completed his schooling from Government Model Boys Higher Secondary School in Thycaud, Thiruvananathapuram. He completed his higher education in filmmaking from Queen Margaret University in Musselburgh Scotland and ESRA film school Paris in France.

Career[edit]

Vysakh Reetha began his career in 2010 as a Director and screenwriter in short film Journey of life. In 2014 he started working as assistant director in Malayalam film Industry with Prominent film makers in the industry.

He made his association with Director Krishand in 2018 for the Documentary Waterbodies, a 15-minute documentary commissioned by the Stanford Law School, about the Narmada Dam Project's effect on Adivasi settlements., and the web series "Utsaha Itihasam - The saga of spirited streaming" in zee5 as Line Producer.[4]

In the same year he associated with krishand as Chief associate director for the movies Vrithakrithiyilulla Chaturam 'A Minor Inconvenience',[5] Aavasavyooham - 'The Arbit documentation of an Amphibian Hunt and "Purusha Pretham - The Male Ghost.[6][7]

In 2020 he directed a webseries called "Ennum Varunna Dhoomakedhu - Everyday Meteor" a black comedy web series Penned by Krishand RK and it got nominated in Seoul web-fest 2020 for Best Screenplay and Best Dramedy.[8]
