WYRL-LP is an American non-commercial Low Power FM radio station licensed by the FCC to serve the community of Rice Lake, Wisconsin on the frequency of 105.5 MHz . The station license is assigned to Law Enforcement Foundation of Barron County. WYRL-LP airs a Community Radio format.
The FCC received the application for the station on November 14, 2013. [1]. The Prometheus Project, an LPFM advocacy group, assisted in preparing the application.[2]
The FCC authorized the station to begin installation of equipment on January 24, 2014. On January 26, 2015 the station was assigned the callsign WYRL-LP. The station reported it was ready for operations on July 20, 2015 and received its license on July 27, 2015.[3]

"The Barron County Law Enforcement Foundation plans to team up with the Rice Lake Cable Access Community PEG channel to help educate the citizens of this rural area in by educating & promoting public and personal safety, providing community lecture series, announcements for upcoming community events as well as coverage of local government meetings that affect all."
