Walkiria Espino is a Spanish singer, rapper, songwriter, actress[1] and dancer from Barcelona, Catalonia. Her debut single "Don't Let Me Go"[2] was released in September 2014 on all platforms.

Early life[edit]

Espino grew up in a musical environment listening to different types of music, pop, R&B, rap, Latin music and even classic. When she was around seven years old her brother brought home the Jay Z's lasted album, Vol. 2... Hard Knock Life and the Brooklyn rapper became her idol alongside with The Notorious B.I.G.. She used to spend hours listening to those songs over and over again. Walkiria's brother was part of a rap group formed by two more boys from the town and following his steps started rapping and freestyling at school.

Aretha Franklyn, Ray Charles and definitely Michael Jackson are also part of her music influences. Her parents, aware of her potential encouraged her to try others genres like pop and R&B.

Career[edit]

In 2013 Walkiria decided to take her music career more seriously and posted some covers on YouTube including “Mirrors” original song by the American singer Justin Timberlake which was featured on adolescents.cat[3] a Catalan online magazine run by the 40 Principales in Spain. On September 2014 she released the single Don't Let Me Go[4] and its music video on VEVO. In 2017 she announced on her Twitter account that she was working on her debut Ep “Hell Of a Dream” and released an acoustic version of “Save Room” by John Legend featured on Blow Ya Speakers[5] and “Waiting Game” an original song by Parson James.
