Weekly Blitz is a far-right tabloid newspaper published in Bangladesh every Wednesday since 2003 by Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury.[3]
Description[edit]
Weekly Blitz says that it watches, investigates, and focuses on Islamist militancy groups, as well as defending religious minority groups in Bangladesh.[4][better source needed]
In July 2006, the office of this newspaper was bombed by Islamist militants.[5]
In March 2008, members of Rapid Action Battalion raided the office of Weekly Blitz and arrested its editor from the office; the editor was released after several hours.[6]
