La República is a Online newspaper from Ecuador, which was founded January 1st 2011[1] .Its objective is to defend the republican ideals of: liberty, transparency and democracy.[2] Its editor-in-chief is Carlos Jijón Morante. Its first editor-in-chief was ex-president of Ecuador, Gustavo Noboa.[3]
