White Chocolate S.r.l., traded as Gelateria White Chocolate, is an Italian chain of gelato stores based in Arese, Italy. The first White Chocolate store was opened in 2009 by Damiano Astore and Cristina Di Pol. The brand became famous in 2014, when Damiano won at Gelato Festival in Milan with his Vanilla flavour.[1] White Chocolate stores additionally offer crêpes, milkshakes, cakes and Italian coffee.
History
- In 2009 the first White Chocolate store opened in Arese, Italy.
- In 2012, gelato production was centralized in one laboratory.
- In 2014, all gelato and sorbets became gluten-free.
- In 2015, added coffee service in all stores.
- In 2016, gelato supply of services for bars, restaurants and hotels.
- In 2017, the first franchise store in Lainate.
- In 2018, the first gelateria outside of the province of Milan opened.
- In 2019, all White Chocolate’s sorbets received the Vegan Society certification.
- In 2020, the first White Chocolate Café store offering plus caffetteria, drinks and food.
